Well yesterdays appointment was a little bit of a let down. This baby would not cooperate at all. When the Tech first started scanning, the baby was moving its arms like crazy and after a few seconds it stopped and wouldn't move for the next 45 minutes. The baby was sitting right up next to my fibroid, which made it impossible to see the kidneys, lower spine and genitals. We couldn't get a good profile shot or face shot, no nothing! So even if we wanted to know the sex, it wasn't happening on yesterdays appointment. The Tech said she thinks she knows the sex but couldn't get a good enough angle to be 100% sure. So we told her not to tell us her guess and we are taking this as a sign to wait until birth to find out if baby is a boy or girl. But everything looked healthy as can be. All internal organs, bones were 100% perfect, no clef palette or abnormal things going on. Which is a relief! It was still fun to see this little guy and get a look at who has been kicking me so much. My OB wants to try again in 4 weeks with another ultra-sound on my next appointment. So hopefully this baby will cooperate better at the end of the month. I can never get over how excited Andrew is with each appointment. Nothing makes me more deeply satisfied and truly happy then seeing Andrews face light up when we hear our baby's heartbeat or see the baby on the ultra-sound screen. He is such an amazing father and I find him most attractive when he is that moment.
